Experienced Assurance Senior / ManagerEmployee Status: RegularSchedule: Full TimeLocation: Eugene, ORIntroduction to the team Assurance Services' industry-focused teams deliver quality audits and other services to governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations and privately owned middle-market-companies. In addition to audits, services include various agreed upon procedures engagements, reviews and compilations and forensic accounting.Responsibilities:Oversee staff on pre-audit planning and field work for engagements, reviewing client accounting and operating proceduresDelegates appropriately while considering engagement economics as well as providing development opportunities for team and selfActively trains staff through on-the-job trainingPerform internal control testing and planning to support an audit opinion, including: preparing supporting work paper documentation, conducting analytical reviews of account balances and preparing financial statementsResearch technical issues that arise during the course of audit engagementsCreate draft audit reports for management reviewAssist Partners in preparing/prepare risk assessment, audit plan programs and internal audit reports.Build relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activitiesProvide both leadership and supervision to audit staffProvide constructive feedback to staff in a timely mannerResponsible for seeing that engagement is complete and ready for partner review within established time frame; keep partner informed on engagement status and key issues in a timely mannerUnderstands importance of fostering a personal relationship with appropriate individuals at clientStrong project management and multi-tasking skillsQualifications: Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or related field requiredMinimum of 5 years of related experience (Manager)Minimum of 3 years of related experience (Senior)Previous experience in a public accounting firm requiredCPA required for Manager roleAbility to travel to client locations which may include occasional overnight staysExperience in managing multiple client engagements at the same timeMotivated to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client serviceStrong analytical and report writing skills requiredComprehensive understanding of data analysis techniquesCreative problem solving and research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to research, interpret, document and arrive at appropriate conclusionsAble to identify complex accounting issues that are out of scope of assurance services and communicate this to partner in chargeGASB experience strongly preferredBenefits:Flex spending- employee costMedical insurance- company paid plan with higher deductible OR company paid plan with employee contribution with a lower deductibleDental insurance- employee costLife insurance after 6 months- company cost401(k) with 3% safe harbor match by company monthly and potential for year end company contribution.
