Data Visualization Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Data Visualization Specialist position! This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services during the contract period. What You'll Be Doing: Design standards, templates, and themes for dashboards/reports to enable data-informed business decisions. Leverage expert Business Intelligence (BI) platform skills to develop advanced data flows and assemble complex dashboards/reports. Apply principles of visual perception to refine dashboards/reports for enhanced clarity and usability. Create templates to ensure consistency and clarity across data visualizations. Implement best practices for publishing BI reports, managing permissions, and monitoring usage. Utilize programming languages to query, structure, and model data for visual representation. Ensure accuracy in data models using business and technical metadata, data quality, and issue remediation techniques. Develop descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive reports using advanced visualization techniques. Mentor team members in dashboard/report templates and data visualization best practices. Work with business partners to conduct testing and refine dashboards/reports based on feedback. Participate in gathering visualization requirements from business stakeholders. Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory standards, policies, and internal controls. What You'll Need to Have: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years related experience. Tactical experience with at least one data visualization tool. Experience designing and developing advanced dashboards/reports and data visualizations. Expert knowledge of data visualization approaches. Experience incorporating data storytelling into visualizations. Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to analyze, extract, and transform data. Preferred Qualifications: Tactical experience with multiple data visualization tools. Knowledge of data management concepts and terminology. Certification in data storytelling and/or data visualization tools.
