Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Tillery, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government correctional facility areas, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and screen authorized personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
