About the Position

We are seeking a Corporate Safety Director to provide company-wide safety leadership across active projects in Texas and New Mexico.

This is a corporate leadership position with broad influence—not a single-project safety role. The Safety Director will lead, coach, and develop approximately 10 site safety representatives while partnering closely with operations leadership, field teams, and customers to continuously strengthen the company's safety culture and practices.

The position is based in Dallas and typically requires approximately 2–3 days per week in the corporate office , along with short trips to active projects in Texas and New Mexico approximately twice per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 10 site safety representatives
• Provide corporate-level safety leadership across multiple active construction projects
• Conduct jobsite visits, safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
• Investigate incidents and injuries and lead root-cause analysis
• Manage injury and incident cases while coordinating with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
• Identify safety trends and develop corrective and preventative actions
• Partner with operations leaders to integrate safety into project planning and execution
• Work directly with customers to address safety expectations, requirements, and performance
• Coach field personnel and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the organization
• Maintain and improve company safety policies, procedures, training, and reporting systems
• Help ensure safety programs remain effective as the company continues to grow

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Construction Safety, or a closely related field strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading construction safety programs and field safety personnel
• Experience conducting jobsite audits, inspections, and safety assessments
• Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience managing injury cases and developing corrective actions
• Ability to effectively partner with operations leadership, field teams, and customers
• CHST, GSP, or comparable safety certification preferred
• Structural steel erection safety experience strongly preferred; candidates with other substantial construction safety backgrounds will also be considered
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work from the Dallas office and travel periodically to projects throughout Texas and New Mexico
