ThompsonGas is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our unprecedented growth by focusing on customer retention, new customer acquisition and customer support. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to multi-task successfully. The Customer Service Representative will handle inbound and outbound sales and customer support calls, as well as data entry, with a high level of focus, customer service and quality.This is an onsite position.Major Job Duties:Handle inbound calls by asking probing questions to uncover sales and service opportunitiesEvaluate sales methods and company programs to meet current customer needs and develop potential business leadsAddress customer issues and respond to all inquiries including, but not limited to, pricing, billing, products, grievances and new account set-upHandle each call with a high level of professionalism, warmth and eagernessPossess a working knowledge of all ThompsonGas products and service offeringsHold a thorough understanding of policies and procedures related to safety, product delivery and serviceProvide timely and accurate information on customer order statusLead outbound calling operations in effort to collect from past due customersEnter and update customer account information in CARGAS and MPX systemsProcess billing payments for walk-in customersResponsible for processing driver daily paperworkOther duties and projects as assignedEducation and Experience:Degree or equivalent experience required3+ years of Customer Service experience (Call center experience preferred)Sales experience strongly preferred; ability to upsell products in highly competitive environment a mustPrevious experience with CARGAS and MPX systems preferred, but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on developing a positive rapport with customersExcellent computer skills including Microsoft office and data entry skillsAbility to organize, multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of ownership and accountability for resolving customer problems in a professional and enthusiastic mannerFlexible to work OT and weekends as needed during busy seasonPERKS WITH US!Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k with IMMEDIATE eligibilityDisability and life insurancePaid time off that increases with tenureDaily Pay Option that offers great flexibility and financial controlEmployee training programs with career development/advancement opportunitiesEmployee recognition programQuarterly bonus potentialPaid maternity and parental leave benefitsTuition reimbursement programThis is a safety sensitive position.
