Registered Nurse - Acute Rehabilitation

Pay: $50.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information

• 12-hour shifts
• Day and night shifts available
• Weekend and holiday rotation as needed

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Indiana RN license required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
• Previous inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills
• Experience with IV pumps, patient lifts, mobility equipment, medication administration systems, and EHR platforms
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, and other disabling conditions
• Complete patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Assist patients with mobility, rehabilitation goals, and activities of daily living
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support recovery and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, rehabilitation goals, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the rehabilitation process
