CDL B Route Drivers

Provide quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. Operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Responsibilities include loading and unloading laundry carts, establishing professional relationships with customers, and ensuring the safe operation of company vehicles. Maintain DOT compliance, follow hours of service rules, and adhere to standard vehicle operating procedures.

Shift/Schedule Details

• CDL "B": Sunday through Thursday, 8 PM - 4 AM, $23.60 per hour
• Non-CDL: Monday through Friday, 5 PM - 8 PM start time, 8-9 hour shifts, $20.60 per hour

Essential Duties

• Maintain excellent attendance
• Meet established route schedules
• Exhibit strong communication and customer service skills
• Adhere to all company safety rules
• Work effectively with a diverse workforce
• Follow directions from supervisors or managers
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Keep a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Deliver products to customers in a timely manner
• Work beyond scheduled hours if necessary
• Maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
• Conduct daily visual inspections of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes as needed
• Transport equipment to service providers for repairs and service

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Capability to push/pull carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class B or NON CDL
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Maintain a clean driving record per company policy
• Six months to one-year experience
• Availability to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to use repetitive arm motion
