About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Psychiatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with psychiatric patient populations. Description: 26-bed inpatient adult behavioral health department. Patient to nurse ratio is 1:6. The patient population includes 55+ geriatric psychiatric patients, with dementia as a primary diagnosis and bipolar disorder as the second highest diagnosis. The unit has a seclusion room but is not staffed for one-on-one patient care at this time. Weekend requirements include working at least every third weekend. Holiday requirements are also in place. Shift scheduling consists of 12-hour shifts with no self-scheduling option. Floating may occur to medical-surgical units and possibly obstetrics, with experience in floating outside of psychiatry being highly preferred. Solid color scrubs are required; no prints are allowed. The charting system used on the unit is EPIC. The facility has a cancellation policy that allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled for a 13-week assignment.
