Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide expert nursing care to patients in a high-volume emergency department setting, ensuring swift response and compassionate treatment for diverse patient needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional urgent care and support positive patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced emergency nursing procedures and interventions accurately and efficiently.
• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity levels.
• Document patient information thoroughly using Cerner electronic health records system.
• Coordinate with doctors, techs, and other staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and care delivery.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions with respectful communication.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including certifications, safety protocols, and attendance policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of ER or trauma center experience.
• Possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications or able to obtain prior to start date.
• Demonstrate proficiency working in high-volume emergency environments (>100,000 visits annually).
• Have ability to work flexibly across all ED sections while fostering team collaboration.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and patient-centered care approach.
