Job Summary
A well-respected legal services firm in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a busy commercial real estate team on a direct hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal support professional who enjoys working in a collaborative law firm environment and supporting attorneys with a variety of real estate, administrative, billing, and client service responsibilities. The Real Estate Legal Assistant will support three attorneys and play an important role in keeping files organized, deadlines on track, communications moving smoothly, and client matters progressing efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Organize, maintain, open, and close legal files, including conflict checks, database updates, records management, charts, spreadsheets, and file tracking.- Perform routine real estate research and due diligence using county and state websites to obtain property-related information.
- Prepare, revise, edit, print, and distribute correspondence, legal documents, and other materials as directed by attorneys.
- Maintain attorney calendars, contact lists, file listings, meeting schedules, and conference room reservations.
- Assist with the client billing process, including attorney narrative entry, billable task tracking, edits, billing deadline calendaring, and bill delivery.
- Answer and direct phone calls, manage messages, respond to routine client inquiries, and support strong client relationships. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support three attorneys within a busy commercial real estate legal team.- Manage legal files, calendars, correspondence, billing support, and client communication.
- Conduct routine real estate due diligence and research through county and state websites.
- Provide diversified secretarial and clerical support within standard law firm procedures. - 2+ years of law firm experience required.
- Experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar legal support professional.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prepare, revise, edit, and manage professional correspondence and legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, deadlines, calendars, and detailed procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with strong client service skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a team-focused environment. Preferred Qualifications - Commercial real estate law firm experience.
- iManage experience.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys.
- Familiarity with legal billing processes and electronic bill delivery.
