Our client is an innovative biotechnology and diagnostic testing organization focused on advancing patient care through genomic and molecular testing. The organization provides a broad portfolio of laboratory testing solutions supporting areas including genomics, rare disease, oncology, anatomic pathology, reproductive health, and other specialized diagnostic applications.

We are seeking a Genomics Sales Representative to lead commercial growth across an assigned territory. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, expanding customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving revenue objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic, scientifically minded sales professional who understands the clinical diagnostics and genomics landscape and can effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders.

The Genomics Sales Rep will be responsible for the overall commercial performance and growth of an assigned territory. Working closely with senior sales leadership, this individual will develop and execute a regional business plan based on market opportunities, competitive intelligence, customer needs, and business analytics. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, taking an entrepreneurial approach to territory development while maintaining strong alignment with organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic regional sales plans designed to achieve and exceed revenue objectives, identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the assigned territory, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, prospects, healthcare organizations, and strategic partners, conducting ongoing market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges, analyzing territory performance and business intelligence to adjust sales strategies and tactics, maintaining accurate customer, opportunity, and forecasting information within Salesforce or a comparable CRM, accurately forecasting territory performance and communicating business trends and opportunities to sales leadership, serving as a strategic advisor to senior sales leadership regarding market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and territory strategy, maintaining strong technical and scientific knowledge of genomic and molecular diagnostic testing, delivering technical presentations, scientific discussions, seminars, webinars, and product demonstrations to clinical and healthcare audiences, educating customers and prospects regarding appropriate applications and utilization of genomic and diagnostic testing solutions, developing relationships with physicians, laboratory professionals, clinical leaders, researchers, and other senior stakeholders, gathering market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and commercial strategy, collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for educational content, case studies, applications, and other market-facing materials, completing required sales, technical, and company training, maintaining a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer service throughout the sales process, and traveling throughout the assigned territory, with travel expected up to 50%.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of diagnostic sales experience, scientific aptitude, strong business development skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to territory ownership.

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline strongly preferred.
• Proven success in clinical diagnostics, biotechnology, laboratory, or related healthcare sales.
• Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong consultative and strategic selling skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and technical information.
• Experience developing relationships with senior clinical and healthcare stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and ability to analyze market and territory data.
• Salesforce or comparable CRM experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed with a high degree of accountability and initiative.
• Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

• Experience selling genomic, genetic, molecular diagnostic, or laboratory testing solutions.
• Experience within rare disease, genetics, genomics, or pediatric diagnostics.
• Established relationships with children's hospitals, academic medical centers, or large healthcare systems.
• Experience working with physicians, geneticists, laboratory directors, or other clinical decision-makers.
• Experience selling technically complex diagnostic solutions in a consultative environment.
