About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Technology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 5 years recent CT experience License: California State Radiologic Technologists License Certifications: Rad Tech Certification, CA Fluoro Cert (Preferred), CT Cert (Preferred) Must-Have: CA-Rad Tech Certification is required Proficient in X-ray and CT scans Must have 3 recent supervisor references Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic imaging procedures as required in the modalities where the employee is registered and/or licensed. These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. The radiologic technologist must perform the procedures competently, and where applicable, independently, as the procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision. This position will include tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. This position may require day, evening, night shift hours, and availability for on-call coverage. Directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Works closely with medical staff, including but not limited to radiologists and physicians. Works collaboratively with leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists or equivalent accrediting body. Desire to cross-train into other modalities. Current CPR card is preferred. Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in an applicable field or acceptable equivalent experience. Experience with different PACS/RIS and Electronic Health Record systems is preferred. Expectations of employee: Adhere to policies and procedures. Act as a role model within the organization.
