Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) PACU – Wisconsin

Start Date: January 18, 2027

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Start times range between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. depending on operational needs. On-call requirement: 1-2 weekend call shifts during the assignment (day or night, based on department needs). No scheduled weekends.

• Manage independent peri-anesthetic care for a complex, varied surgical population across multiple specialties including Transplant, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Trauma Level I, and more
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• 25 rooms with a daily census of approximately 55 patients; Adult patient population
• 50 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Interpretation Services

Requirements:

• Active RN license required
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in PACU specialty
• Critical care background required with strong ICU/PACU experience
• Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience with 1:2 ratios
• Must successfully pass telemetry testing prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
• Floating to other units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
