Staff Accountant

We are a staffing firm on the Northwest side of Indianapolis with a hybrid Staff Accountant opportunity. We are a mid-sized company with a growth mindset. We offer a flexible work environment, unlimited PTO and an attractive benefits package.

Accountant role responsibilities:

Manage payroll tax accounts for multiple taxing jurisdictions across the country
Business license annual filings/payments
Assist with year-end W2 filing
Respond to all payroll tax correspondence
Accounts Receivable and collections
Accounts Payable
Expense report processing
Daily, weekly & monthly reporting
Bank & credit card reconciliations
Balance Sheet account reconciliations
QuickBooks & Payroll software processing, set-up & maintenance
Support other accounting team members
Process improvement projects
Collaborate with team members to achieve deadlines and improve processes

Accountant role qualifications:

The right candidate will be a team player who is organized, detail-oriented, conscientious, and self-motivated with a desire to add to their skill set and make a valuable impact to our team.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

3-5 years accounting experience with strong proficiency in QuickBooks
Strong organizations skills and a keen eye for detail
Proficiency with payroll software, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
Strong desire to take a leadership role
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Motivation to work independently and without supervision when required.
Willingness to learn new skills and look for improvement opportunities.
