– Draw blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.

– Prepare and label specimens following established protocols to ensure quality and accuracy for laboratory testing.

– Verify patient demographic information and obtain necessary signatures to ensure specimen labeling correctness.

– Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient interactions.

– Create a positive and trusting environment for patients by explaining procedures and demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity.

– Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with policies and procedures.

– Assist with processing specimens as part of the laboratory workflow when needed.

– Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence, confidentiality, and patient safety.

– Travel to multiple locations, including in-office phlebotomy sites and patient service centers, depending on staffing needs.

– Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and team members.

– High level of accuracy and attention to detail in specimen labeling and documentation.

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

– Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

– Adept at maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safety standards.

– High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

– Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

– Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

– Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.

– Keyboard and data entry experience.

– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

– Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and a clean driving record if applicable.

– Must be able to list a home city within 20-25 minutes of the worksite on the resume.

– Ability to travel between multiple locations as required.
