Operations Support Analyst
Location: Livingston Plaza (downtown Brooklyn)
This position will require the consultant to work five days onsite (overnight and weekend) for a duration of 12 months (37.50 hrs/week).
Client seeks qualified candidates to assist with the monitoring of critical systems, both hardware and software, from various systems throughout our agencies. This will include facility temperature alerts, CPU, memory, and space utilization on servers, APC Netbotz devices, Oracle databases and hardware. Familiarity tools from Putty to Solar Winds is a plus.
As part of a 24x 7 team, the ideal candidate will come with experience in operations. They will be responsible for opening tickets as needed and assisting Sys Admins with resolution. They will run pre-written scripted jobs in multiple environments including Windows, Linux and AS/400. Strong knowledge of basic MS Office tools is required. The ability to clearly communicate via phone and email is essential.
Initial training of 4-6 weeks will take place Monday -Friday from 8am to 4pm after which the candidate will be moved to the 3rd shift, from 11pm to 7am. Thursday (into Friday) and Friday (into Saturday) will be the off days.
This is an on-site, in-person job. The primary work location will be in downtown Brooklyn.
