Manager In Training (Part Time)

Manager in Training Location: Tifton, Georgia (Tifton Corners) – Salary: $10.35 per hour. Summary The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall store operations and administrative duties. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of all product departments, a commitment to outstanding customer service, and the ability to oversee the store when the Store Manager is absent. Key Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and achieving departmental goals. Develop and execute action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. Provide guidance to employees and customers across all departments. Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability. Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and uphold store standards. Report inventory movements and customer trends to the Store Manager. Ensure consistent, high‑quality customer service as outlined in the customer service manual. Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear’s merchandise and services. Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Supervise employees in the Store Manager’s absence, including interviewing, training, assigning work, and resolving issues. Qualifications Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel. 1–3 years of customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Proactive self‑starter with initiative and strong attention to detail.
