Python and Kubernetes Software Engineer – Data, AI/ML & Analytics We are hiring Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineers focused on Data, AI/ML and Analytics Solutions. Join our team to build open‑source solutions for public cloud, private infrastructure, and the global community. Responsibilities Collaborate on an end‑to‑end data analytics and MLOps solution using open‑source tools such as Kubeflow, MLFlow, DVC, and Feast. Work on workflow, ETL, data governance, and visualization tools (Apache Superset, dbt, Temporal). Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions such as Apache Trino and ClickHouse. Own and evolve a solution from the analytics and machine‑learning space, integrating with other teams’ solutions. Deploy solutions on public and private clouds, local workstations, or Kubernetes clusters. Build a deep understanding of the Linux stack – kernel, networking, storage, and application layers. Design, build, and maintain scalable, observable, secure, and well‑tested components. Collaborate proactively with distributed engineers, designers and product managers. Debug issues and engage publicly with upstream and Ubuntu communities. Generate ideas and collaborate to find the best technical solutions. Qualifications Professional or academic experience delivering software in Python. Exceptional academic record from high school and university. Undergraduate degree in a technical subject, or a compelling narrative of an alternative path. Confidence to speak up, give and receive feedback, and share ideas without hesitation. Track record of exceeding expectations and delivering outstanding results. Passion for technology evident through personal projects and initiatives. Strong written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills. Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability. Appreciative of diversity and effective in a multicultural, multinational environment. Self‑motivation and thoughtfulness. Result‑oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments. Ability to travel twice a year for up to two weeks for company events. Nice to Have Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning libraries or tooling. Track record of building highly automated ML solutions for the cloud. Experience with container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes, etc.). Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Working knowledge of cloud computing. Passion for software quality and testing. Experience contributing to an open‑source project.
