Overall Job Summary We’re looking for enthusiastic, service‑oriented individuals to join our team. The Team Member will interact with customers and coworkers, support sales initiatives, and perform a variety of tasks to deliver a Legendary Customer Experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts with flexibility for varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate. Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer. Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants. Recommend Product Solutions. Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer. Perform a combination of duties during 95% of the day, including but not limited to: Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures. Recover merchandise. Participate in mandatory freight process. Complete Plan‑o‑gram procedures (merchandising, sets, resets). Assemble merchandise. Perform janitorial duties. Execute price changes/markdowns. Operate forklift (if 18+). Operate cardboard baler (if 18+). Assist customers with loading purchases. Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience. Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds as required. Complete all associated documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications No experience required, but retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Team Members must be able to read, write, and count accurately. Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge. Ability to read, write, and count accurately. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically with minimal conflict. Working Conditions Indoor environment with moderate noise. Indoor floors and outdoor lots are typically hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.). Lighting and temperature are adequate. Work shifts vary by store, generally no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours. Promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to company safety training and guidelines. Physical Requirements Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds throughout the store. Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with appropriate material handling equipment. Occasionally lift or reach overhead. Frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Move throughout the store for an entire shift. Safely access all store areas, including the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area. Operate and use all equipment (dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register). Forklift and baler requirements do not apply to those under 18. Operate store equipment such as computer and cash register constantly. Read, write, and count accurately for documentation. Use strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with team members. Process information and merchandise through the point‑of‑sale system. Handle contact with birds/poultry. Complete all required training and certifications, including propane dispensing (if applicable).
