Perform basic soldering tasks such as taking apart and connecting components (experience is a plus, but training can be provided). Clean and maintain lab equipment, workstations, and shared workspaces to ensure proper operational condition. Assist with packing, shipping, and receiving parts or equipment for external vendors, repair, or field deployments. Learn and follow established best practices for ESD protection and lab safety protocols. Provide hands‑on support for projects as needed, learning from and collaborating with senior engineers to enhance your skills. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a technical lab, R&D, or engineering environment. Basic understanding of tools and equipment commonly used in an electronics or R&D lab. Ability to assemble mechanical or electrical setups (e.g., test rigs, cable routing, or equipment installations). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain lab order, track inventory, and ensure equipment availability. Willingness to complete hands‑on tasks, including lab organization, cleaning, and maintenance. Basic understanding of safety protocols and environmental best practices, including maintaining clean and orderly workspaces. Proactive and eager to learn, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift small, manageable loads (up to 30 lbs) as part of the role. Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Hands‑on soldering experience (e.g., basic wire soldering, through‑hole, or surface‑mount soldering). Familiarity with basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. Experience working in an R&D or prototype lab environment. Basic cable assembly or wiring harness experience. Interest in or passion for engineering and technical problem‑solving, with a desire to grow into a broader technical role over time. US Hourly Range: $37–$49 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
