We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team! In this role, you will have an hourly wage ranging from $13.45 to $15.95 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.39 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Earned Wage Access® program is available to all employees on the second (2nd) day of employment. Vacation: Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full‑time service. Eligible employees receive an additional week of vacation after one year, and two weeks after each anniversary thereafter (subject to state/local requirements). A further week is granted after five years. Sick/Personal: Eligible employees are granted 8 hours after six months, then 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (up to year five), and 24 hours after five years, adjusted to state/local requirements. Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or third‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store, promoting a positive and productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly, professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues. Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans. Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting. Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued. Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested. Communicate clearly with employees so they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives. Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge. The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others. Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified. Employees may be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas. Minimum age: 18 years old. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs and are not guaranteed. Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience is required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent work ethic and strong business sense. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
