Organization Hematopathology Job Summary Performs routine and complex clinical pathology testing and manages laboratory instruments. Records results accurately and ensures timely delivery. Holds authority and accountability for accurate test performance, directly impacting patient diagnosis, treatment, and response evaluation. Applies clinical knowledge to achieve accurate results and improve patient care outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provides patient-focused care in a clinical setting by accurately performing routine and complex tests through pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic stages. Performs qualitative and quantitative analytical procedures, including reagent preparation and quality control, following required protocols with precision, accuracy, and efficiency. Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, principles, instruments, and physiological conditions that influence test results. Additional duties may be assigned as required. Technical Capabilities Data Analysis: Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in data analysis tasks, navigating established technology environments, validating data, modifying queries, and reporting results. Quality Assurance: Continuously analyzes and evaluates processes, contributes improvements, and establishes and monitors quality standards. Equipment Maintenance: Maintains equipment and inventory, ensuring parts are available for routine operation. Diagnostic Testing: Proficient in diagnostic testing with sufficient training and experience to deliver accurate results. Mentoring & Coaching: Trains and mentors others with constructive feedback, removes obstacles, and shares best practices. Position Qualifications Certifications: LIC‑Medical Laboratory Act (Tennessee) , Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) , Medical Technologist (AMT) Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant work experience. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
