Automation Senior Engineer

Automation Senior Engineer role at Pfizer's Rocky Mount, NC facility supporting digital network and automation systems. Responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex control logic while leading projects and mentoring junior engineers in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead project completion, manage timelines, and oversee small project teams
- Monitor and maintain validation master plans for DNA systems and automation programs
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and work instructions for systems
- Provide 24/7/365 support of automation systems and modify control logic for capital projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years automation engineering experience; or equivalent education/experience combination
- Proficiency with DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, Historians, or SQL Server programming
- Knowledge of computerized systems, regulatory compliance standards, and GMP requirements
- Ability to draft SOWs, write test plans, and create design documentation
- Root cause troubleshooting and corrective action implementation skills
- Hands-on experience with GMP-compliant automation projects
- Strong written and verbal communication with team collaboration abilities
Compensation: $82,700–$137,900 base salary, plus 10% performance bonus target and comprehensive benefits
