Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (Power Systems) | Allied Resources Technical Consultants

About the Position:

Allied Resources Technical Consultants (ARTC) is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of electrical power generation and distribution systems. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career engineer looking to gain hands‑on experience working with real‑world power systems used in demanding and mission‑critical environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and development of electrical power systems, including generators, power distribution equipment, switchgear, and control components
• Create, revise, and maintain electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD
• Support integration of electrical systems for mobile, deployable, or fixed power platforms
• Perform basic electrical calculations such as load analysis, voltage drop, and component sizing
• Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, bills of material (BOMs), and engineering change documentation
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management
• Provide limited field or commissioning support as required by project scope
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and internal quality procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 0–2 years of experience (internships, co‑ops, or academic project experience accepted)
• Foundational knowledge of electrical power systems, including generation and distribution
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics
• Understanding of AC/DC circuits, three‑phase power, and common electrical components
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hands‑on engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to generators, power generation equipment, or energy storage systems
• Familiarity with electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, or UL
• Experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, or field‑deployed systems
• Internship or project work related to power systems, energy, or electrical distribution
• Interest in mission‑critical infrastructure, emergency response systems, or defense‑related applications
