Director of MDS & Clinical Reimbursement

An assisting living facility and nursing home in the Bronx is searching for a permanent, full time Director of MDS & Clinical Reimbursement to lead clinical documentation, coding accuracy, and reimbursement functions.

Job Function:

• Oversees the MDS and health information teams, ensuring assessments, documentation, and data reporting are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements and payment models.
• Partners with clinical and operational leadership to use data and documentation to improve care quality, optimize reimbursement, and support performance improvement initiatives
• Drives education, auditing, and process improvement efforts to keep the organization current with regulatory changes and best practices

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• BSN required, MSN preferred
• NYS RN license required
• 3+ years of MDS and reimbursement experience in a skilled nursing facility setting, including 2+ years of leadership experience
• Completion of NYS PRI assessor program or RAC-CT preferred
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, NYS nursing standards and Medicare & Medicaid regulations required
