Telecommunications Field Technician (Woodstock)

Job Title Field Technician Reports To Team Lead Hours Scheduled to work on a bi-weekly basis; shifts and hours are subject to change based upon operational needs. Location Woodstock, New Brunswick Job Type Full-time Responsibilities Installation of interior and exterior outlets and lines, and installation of telephone, internet and cable services/equipment at customer locations while providing exceptional customer service. Work at heights with ladders (30+ feet). Perform kneeling, crouching, bending and overhead work to complete assigned tasks. Heavy lifting (60+ pounds). Use specialized tools. Maintain stock of equipment in vehicles for successful completion of all types of jobs. Complete daily safety checks and assessments. Maintain assigned vehicles and tools in a satisfactory manner. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Team Lead. Actively participate in performance management processes, including regular reviews, coaching and feedback. Consistently meet or exceed key performance metrics, including productivity, customer satisfaction, quality of work, revenue generation and gross margin contribution. Monitor and adapt to evolving performance expectations and operational priorities as business needs change. Qualifications Satisfactory criminal background check. Valid provincial driver’s license and satisfactory driving abstract (absolute requirement). Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Graduation from a recognized electronics program (considered an asset). Relevant industry installation and repair experience (considered an asset). Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings (up to 8pm), weekends, holidays and emergency situations. Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent, scheduled prior). Required Skills and Abilities Strong work ethic. Team‑oriented individual. Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructures and voice and data communications equipment (considered an asset). Proven ability to meet and adapt to evolving performance metrics, including productivity, customer satisfaction, quality and financial performance.
