Job Summary The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered and restaurant profitability is achieved. Other responsibilities include the management of operations, including the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices. Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station including dough management, accuracy and proper portioning. Performs assigned work station duties such as making quality products, following all product preparation procedures and maintaining established product holding times. Contributes to achieving the Company’s product goal and consistently meets the needs and expectations of customers, minimizing complaints and responding appropriately. Follows all policies and procedures as outlined including image, attendance, safety and security. Exemplifies and exhibits the Core Values, maintains a positive attitude, works well with others, and is flexible and adaptable to change. Ensures adequate shift coverage, provides immediate feedback and corrects problems when identified. Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities such as MCE readiness, food/labor costs, restaurant cleanliness within acceptable standards. Contributes to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals using the FOCUS System. Executes cash management duties and assists with inventory level management to minimize loss. Education, Experience & Certifications High School diploma or GED preferred. Serv‑Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred. Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred. Successful and stable employment history. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
