Process Engineer

Description The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Process Engineer to work at our Picatinny Arsenal, NJ site to Conduct process development and optimization for the preparation of propellants utilizing state-of-the-art tools and techniques. Primary Responsibilities. Conduct ongoing literature searches to develop and maintain awareness of latest ingredients, processes, and techniques. Develop new enhanced performance propellants utilizing traditional formulation processes as well as advanced additive manufacturing techniques. Develop customized ingredients to enable AM of propellants. Support the transition of laboratory scale methods to pilot and ultimately production scales. Basic Qualifications. BS in Chemical Engineering and 2-6 years of relevant experience. Prior experience with process development tools and techniques. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment. US Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications.
