The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.The Impact you will have in this role: As an Associate Director of Database Engineering for Snowflake, you will lead with strategic vision to strengthen our data foundation, enhance performance, and drive innovation across the enterprise. By aligning technology initiatives with business objectives you will enable scale, secure high-impact data solutions that accelerate decision making, empower teams, and advance our data strategy with Snowflake in the data cloud ecosystem.Your Primary Responsibilities:Integrate Snowflake with IAM (Azure AD, Hashicorp Vault)Integrate Snowflake monitoring to observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace)Work with Linux batch scheduling (Autosys or equivalent)Apply FinOps concepts for cost/performance optimizationAdminister Snowpark containers, Snowpipe streaming, and Cortex AI servicesPackage new Snowflake features for enterprise useValidate non-functional requirements (DR, backup)Collaborate with app teams for seamless integrationUse CI/CD tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins)Perform Snowflake & AWS admin via Terraform/AnsibleProvide escalated support and consultingDevelop documentation, training, and job aidsSupport DR and operational rotation activitiesReport defects and coordinate fixes with SnowflakeQualifications:Minimum of 6 years of related experienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:Snowflake admin expertise; SnowPro Core certification preferredSQL programming & RDBMS experience (Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)Proficiency in Python & Bash on LinuxBasic Terraform/Ansible skillsCI/CD experience (GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins)Basic AWS IaaS skills (Azure/GCP acceptable)Familiarity with Agile/Scrum & JIRAKnowledge of ITSM processes & ServiceNowThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
