Research Associate Scientist – Spatial Biology & Genomics Location: Cambridge, MA (100% Onsite – Cambridge Crossings) Duration: 12 months Contract Pay Range: $28-$32/hr on W2 (Based on Experience) About TSR TSR is a trusted staffing and workforce solutions partner with more than 50 years of experience delivering highly qualified talent to support clients' most critical business and technology initiatives. Position Summary TSR is seeking a Research Associate Scientist for a leading pharmaceutical client in Cambridge, MA . This role will support the Translational Development Team , utilizing cutting-edge spatial biology and genomic profiling technologies to advance translational research across multiple development programs. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on laboratory scientist with experience operating advanced spatial biology platforms, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality scientific standards. Key Responsibilities Perform hands‑on laboratory execution of spatial biology and genomic assays. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced spatial profiling platforms. Prepare tissue samples, slides, reagents, and perform assay validation. Execute spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics, and histology workflows. Support development and optimization of new laboratory protocols and reagents. Maintain laboratory inventory, sample tracking, and accurate experimental documentation. Perform routine instrument maintenance and quality control activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary scientific teams to meet project objectives and timelines. Follow SOPs and laboratory protocols while ensuring data integrity and quality. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related scientific discipline. 3+ years of hands‑on laboratory experience. Strong technical laboratory skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving research methods. Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Top Skills Technical Skills Hands‑on experience with 10x Visium , Bruker CosMx , or Akoya Phenocycler Wet lab execution of spatial biology.
