What You'll Do As our Human Resources Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of Human Resources while supervising one HR Generalist. Your responsibilities will include: Employee Relations & Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees. Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters. Coach managers through performance management, corrective action, and employee development. Draft disciplinary documentation and ensure fair, consistent application of company policies. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with California labor laws, federal employment regulations, and HR best practices. Maintain company policies, employee handbook, and required workplace postings. Partner with leadership on risk management and organizational compliance. Support OSHA compliance initiatives alongside Safety leadership. Benefits & Workers' Compensation Administer employee benefits programs and annual Open Enrollment. Serve as the primary contact for benefit vendors and employee questions. Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes. Performance Management Lead the company's performance management process, including: 90-day new hire reviews Annual performance evaluations Ongoing manager check-ins Partner with leadership on compensation recommendations, performance improvement plans, and employee development. Employee Engagement Develop initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and employee engagement. Support internal communications and company-wide programs. Help create an environment where employees can succeed and grow. HR Operations Supervise and develop one HR Generalist. Manage Paylocity and HR systems. Oversee onboarding, offboarding, employee records, reporting, and HR documentation. Develop HR strategies that support company growth and operational excellence. Requirements What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Four or more years of progressive Human Resources experience. Strong knowledge of California employment law and federal labor regulations. Experience managing employee relations, benefits administration, workers' compensation, and HR compliance. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
