Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Nurse position available in Burlingame, California. Candidates must possess proficiency in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology. This role involves supporting complex cardiovascular procedures in a specialized unit, requiring detailed knowledge of cardiac diagnostics and interventions. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week, shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable start times between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM; a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California registered nurse licensure; minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA).
• Skills: Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Arrhythmia Induction, ASD Closures, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Circulate Procedures, Conduction Studies, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations in adult patients, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab procedures, Insertion/Removal of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella device insertion, Insertion/Programming of Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (AICDs), Interventional Cardiac Cath lab procedures, Interventional Radiology procedures, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, Left heart catheterization, 12 lead EKG/ECG, Pacemaker insertion, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Sheath removal and monitoring, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Valvuloplasty, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose), Ventricular Assist Device insertion, Watchman procedure.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have Epic charting system experience preferred. Prior charge nurse experience and background in cardiovascular issues and specialized procedures are advantageous. Candidates must be available to go in for lab work within 3-5 days of signing. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization setting is required for submission.
• Travel Details: Candidates with travel experience preferred; local candidates accepted at the local rate with prior confirmation. Must be able to travel within 50 miles if applicable.
• Other Requirements: Candidates must have a valid state license at the time of submission and provide documentation for work history verification spanning 7 years. Background checks for any blood glucose hits or DUIs are required prior to submission. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and be available for on-call duties.
• Additional Notes: Completion of non-billable modules through e-learning during orientation, with hours recorded accordingly.
