If you are a hands-on Quality Assurance professional seeking an exciting opportunity to grow, this is the perfect role for you! Based in our Natchitoches location, you will lead and coordinate quality-related initiatives to enhance every aspect of assembly quality within the Alliance compressors facility. You will apply lean and Six Sigma tools and collaborate closely with continuous improvement teams to reduce waste, minimize variation, and optimize processes related to quality performance. Additionally, you will support the ISO9001:2015 based Quality Management System and manage projects to improve it. Your role will involve investigating, analyzing, and taking action on internal quality issues, warranty, and customer returns using a structured problem-solving approach. You will work closely with other functions, especially Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Responsibilities:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to spend 50% of your time sitting at a desk working on a computer, while the remaining 50% will involve navigating the production floor and inventory areas to access components. You must have visual acuity to properly inspect and discern prints and components, manual dexterity to handle components, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds at a time. - Identify root causes for internal problems and implement short- and long-term solutions for day-to-day challenges.
- Actively participate in Tier 3 and 4 Lean daily meetings.
- Assign key tasks to process auditors based on the production schedule.
- Coach and mentor operators, demonstrating quality criteria and identifying normal and abnormal conditions.
- Track, monitor, and act on internal key metrics (internal ppm's and scrap).
- Participate in product tear-down analysis for internal and customer-returned parts.
- Support customer complaints through implementing containment and driving root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain Control and PFMEA.
- Identify patterns from internal metric reviews.
- Engage in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Utilize statistical tools to help predict problems.
- Apply analytical skills to identify root cause analysis for complex problems using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and quality and safety regulations.
- Implement quality tools to help predict problems before they occur.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, production, manufacturing engineering, or engineering technology.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Establish and implement quality product and process verification methods.
- Audit and train others on how to perform a quality process audit.
- Knowledge of running CMM, GD&T, and ability to read and interpret international standards.
- Three years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in quality management, quality engineering, and lean manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- ISO9001 Quality System knowledge.
