This 355-bed inpatient facility operates as a primary stroke center, providing neurological services with the clinical infrastructure necessary to support on-site neurology coverage. The facility maintains established protocols across both General In-Patient Neurology and Vascular-Stroke/Emergency services to ensure quality patient care and timely neurological consultation.

Lake Tahoe, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, offers a range of outdoor and recreational activities suited to varied interests. Visitors may pursue skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, and boat tours on the lake‘s clear blue water. Notable points of interest accessible by water include Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, and Vikingsholm Castle, while hot air balloon tours and shoreline exploration across both the north and south shores provide additional options for clinicians on assignment.

The neurologist will provide inpatient consultations across two services: General In-Patient Neurology and Vascular-Stroke/Emergency Service during day shifts. The clinician may see patients independently; however, the primary role involves serving as the attending physician responsible for staffing neurology residents. No call responsibilities are associated with this locum tenens assignment. Board certification in Neurology is required for this position.
