Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech
Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic
Responsibilities: As a Dental Assistant, you will be a vital part of the patient care team, performing clinical duties such as preparing operatories, sterilization, assisting dentists during procedures, educating patients on oral health, and managing equipment and supplies. You may also support administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records to help the practice succeed. Qualifications: Candidates should have a completed one-year certified dental assistant program or at least six months of documented on-the-job experience. Required certifications include Dental Assistant and X-Ray; Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. Ongoing training in OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control is expected. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations, including prolonged sitting and lifting up to 15 pounds.
