Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients in a high-acuity Medical ICU setting
• Manage patients with conditions including respiratory failure requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, ARDS, DKA, CVA post-tPA, and cardiac arrest with TTM
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Maintain standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, with potential adjustment to 4:1 when boarding patients awaiting inpatient transfer
• Collaborate with CNA support staff present each shift to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Float to telemetry or like units within the facility as census demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Must be willing to work weekends and commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (no local candidates accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity ICU or MICU environment
• Experience with code blue response and management of patients on mechanical ventilation
• Familiarity with TTM protocols and management of post-cardiac arrest patients
