SAP Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled SAP Business Analyst to support Phase 2 of the Polaris Project—an enterprise-wide digital and business transformation initiative. This phase includes upgrading SAP ECC to S/4HANA, enhancing Salesforce utilization, implementing Master Data Governance (MDG), and deploying a modern Data & Analytics platform. The analyst will serve as a liaison between IT and business units, helping align technology with business strategies, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting system implementations. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of business process knowledge, technical understanding, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary interface between IT and assigned business units throughout Polaris Phase 2. Participate in workshops and meetings to gather and translate business requirements into system specifications. Document business and IT processes using industry-standard tools and methods. Support system design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment activities. Collaborate with technical teams to understand third-party application architecture and integration points. Assist in managing upgrades, releases, and user updates to maintain system integrity. Develop and deliver user training, testing plans, and post-implementation support. Contribute to project planning using project management principles and tools. Advocate for effective use of enterprise systems to improve business processes. Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in IT or business systems-related roles. 1–3 years of experience gathering and documenting requirements and supporting system implementations. Familiarity with system development lifecycle (SDLC) and test planning/execution. Knowledge of cross-functional system integration and basic database structures. Experience writing functional specifications and collaborating with technical teams. Exposure to SAP environments (S/4HANA preferred) or Salesforce. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions. Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and drive innovation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the oil & gas or process industry. Experience supporting greenfield S/4HANA implementations. Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required, with a minimum of 25% (approximately one week per month), primarily to Jackson, MS, and other U.S. locations as needed.
