Associate Benefits Analyst - Employee Health & Benefits

A day in the life The Associate Benefits Analyst (ABA) is responsible for obtaining and analyzing group benefit program proposals for clients. They analyze bids for group health and welfare coverage, provide benchmarking research and analysis, and develop detailed client reports. The ABA performs substantial financial analysis for approximately three clients and works on small to mid‑sized fully insured cases, demonstrating a high level of accuracy in their work product. This position spends a significant amount of time in Excel and provides mid‑level support to assigned Senior Benefit Analysts and the department as a whole. Our future colleague We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills: Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics or other related area preferred. One to three years of office administrative/financial support experience is essential. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintains a high level of professionalism when working with clients and vendors. Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Flexibility to arrive early and stay late, as needed. Strong telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co‑workers. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to proof one's own work as well as the work of others. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, initiative, good judgment, sense of urgency, and the ability to carry multiple projects through to completion. Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints and frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, change, delays, or unexpected events.
