Details Work in the Pre-Op Holding / ASU unit of a hospital setting Unit includes 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds Patient ratio of 1:3 Perform Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other SDS patients Provide pre-op care for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, EP, and CT patients, as well as outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions Uses Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner EMR system used is Meditech Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment length On-call required with a 30-minute response time On-call requirement includes two 10-hour on-call shifts every 8 weeks Requirements Active KS or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required Meditech EMR experience preferred Some pre-op experience or ability to support pre-op staff preferred US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted) One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Deliver patient-centered care with a strong focus on patient experience Collaborate closely and communicate effectively with staff and providers Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-708019.
