The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.5th Floor Med/Surg Unit Description:The 5th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital, an achieved Magnet® hospital, is a 36-bed medical surgical unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and ortho. Our department is the main service line for our patients that need the care that a Level 1 Trauma Center Provides. Patients are from all age groups (usually 16 years and above) with occasional overflow of general med/surg patients.We have a strong culture of teamwork where we pride ourselves on delivering high quality, safe patient care. Our team is a committed, caring group of colleagues who have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. Our medical surgical unit lends itself to developing great relationships with our coworkers and we work together to provide excellent patient care.A good candidate for the 5th floor would be someone who prides themselves in being a team player, has a positive attitude, open communication skills, hard-working, dedicated, and accountable. We are a great starting point for someone interested in a future in Critical Care.Job RequirementsSix months previous CNA experience preferredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishBasic computer skillsPrevious customer service experience preferredHigh School diploma or GED requiredGraduate of a Nursing Assistant Program requiredState registered CNA license requiredCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred.
