Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 3\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift teaching hospital assignment requiring MA licensure, telemetry experience, and unit-wide float willingness.Details\n \n Med/Surg unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital\n Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on assignment\n Typical patient ratio of 1:6\n Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM\n Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed\n No on-call requirements\n Float required to any Med/Surg unit; block scheduling not offered\n Requirements\n \n Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted)\n Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required\n Telemetry experience required\n Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly required\n BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand prior to consideration\n Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred\n Must have own vehicle for transportation to assignment\n Recent Medical Surgical skills checklist (within 1 year) required for consideration\n One supervisory reference from within the past two years required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Med/Surg unit within a highly accredited teaching hospital\n Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code\n 8 hours of non-billable orientation required\n Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the assignment; must be submitted at time of profile upload only\n Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend\n Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered\n First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-750637.
