Dual Language Interventionist (Part-Time)

Dual Language Interventionist (Part-Time) Location: Frank Porter Graham Elementary School, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Work Schedule: 10‑Month, 50% time (Part‑Time). Position Summary The Dual Language Interventionist provides direct support and intervention to students in grades K‑5 who need additional support in reading, writing, and/or mathematics and ensures students achieve proficiency in English and Spanish content standards. Essential Duties Provide evidence‑based English and Spanish content instruction to identified students to accelerate growth. Deliver small‑group instruction or interventions collaboratively in the classroom or separate settings for non‑proficient or fragile students. Implement district‑identified intervention programs, frameworks, and strategies. Create an engaging classroom environment that includes whole‑group, small‑group, and individual instruction based on formative assessment data. Serve on the school‑based MTSS Team to analyze data, support plan development, and monitor interventions. Administer district‑identified assessments as scheduled and maintain electronic data files. Collaborate with classroom teachers to scaffold student access to grade‑level content and provide support for implementing interventions. Monitor formative and summative assessments to plan instructional programming for student needs. Collaborate with school administration to determine student service plans and schedules. Attend school and district meetings, staying current with professional literature and best practices. Participate in school‑based PLC work as directed by administrators. Adhere to district curriculum and instruction guidelines for fidelity of implementation. Perform other appropriate duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Valid North Carolina Professional Educator's teaching license. Minimum 3 years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience. Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Master's degree or advanced studies in curriculum and instruction, reading, mathematics, science, or related field preferred. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills. Other qualifications acceptable to the Board of Education. Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and related standards.
