Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting various diagnostic and interventional procedures. The RN will collaborate with a team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the cardiac catheterization process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, including pre- and post-procedure assessments.
• Assist physicians and technologists during left and right heart caths, pacemaker/ICD placements, ablations, and vascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition, responding promptly to any changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the MERGE Hemo and Meditech Expanse systems.
• Adhere to procedural guidelines, universal precautions, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of RNs and Cath Lab Techs to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology setting.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Proven experience with cardiac procedures such as heart caths, pacemaker/ICD, and EP ablations.
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call hours.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment is a plus.
