Business Analyst

Business Analyst Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives through effective requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. The ideal candidate has strong communication and analytical skills and is experienced in facilitating requirements discussions, documenting business processes, and developing high-quality functional and system requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering and discovery sessions with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams. Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements. Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and detailed requirements documentation. Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, working sessions, and requirements review meetings. Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, business rules, and system interactions. Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), process flows, data requirements, and supporting documentation. Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and inconsistencies within requirements and work with stakeholders to resolve them. Partner with developers, architects, QA teams, and product owners to ensure requirements are clearly understood throughout the development lifecycle. Manage requirements changes and maintain requirements traceability from initial business need through implementation. Support QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reviewing test cases and validating that solutions meet documented requirements. Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project and requirements documentation. Assist stakeholders in defining project scope, objectives, priorities, and expected business outcomes. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role. Strong experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation. Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements and technical documentation. Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and business requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience facilitating requirements workshops and stakeholder meetings. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience working within an Agile development environments. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar requirements/documentation platforms. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting complex software development or system implementation projects. Experience documenting integrations, data flows, business rules, and system dependencies. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
