Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical unit. This position involves floating to other medical/surgical and telemetry units, including forensics and inpatient care, therefore, applicants must be adaptable and comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including those in a correctional setting.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.Float to various units as needed, including telemetry and forensics.Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in holiday rotations and work assigned holidays as required.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with facility protocols.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting.Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH.Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred; Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) may be accepted as an alternative.Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00).Willingness to float to various units, including specialized areas.Holiday PolicyContract nurses will be expected to participate in the holiday rotation and cover three of the following six holidays, based on assigned groups: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Schedule swaps among peers may be arranged to accommodate personal preferences.
