Bonus is paid at the end of the contract and requires full contract completion to qualify.We are currently seeking **Short-Term Outbound Material Handlers (6 months)** for our 3rd shift at our distribution center in Cumberland, MD. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for contract extension based on business needs and performance review.The Order Picker locates and pulls products from warehouse locations to fulfill orders. This role operates a variety of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner to meet daily objectives.We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available.## ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment* Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing* Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience* Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards* Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.* Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals* Abide by all company and warehouse policies* Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation### Physical Requirements* Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.* Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.* Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.* Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.* Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.## Qualifications### Experience* 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.### EducationThis role does not require a degree.
