In-House Legal Recruiter

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions across multiple offices with a focus on Houston and San Antonio


• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and establish appropriate candidate profiles


• Recruit for a broad range of positions, including: Attorneys, Paralegals, Legal Secretaries, and other office hiring needs


• Manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously, typically supporting approximately 15-20 positions at a time


• Develop and post compelling job descriptions across the firm's career site and external job boards


• Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, and other recruiting channels


• Conduct initial candidate phone interviews and assess candidates against position requirements


• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide thoughtful candidate summaries and recommendations


• Coordinate virtual and in-person interviews, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience throughout the process


• Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the firm's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Lever


• Assist with offer processes, candidate communications, and pre-employment requirements.


• Help identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and time-to-fill


• Participate in and support employee onboarding initiatives, including 30/60/90-day new hire check-ins, to help ensure new employees are supported and successful in their roles

Expereince

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate, professional services, legal, or similarly fast-paced environment


• Experience managing multiple requisitions and competing hiring priorities simultaneously


• Demonstrated experience recruiting for a variety of professional, administrative, and/or specialized positions


• Strong candidate sourcing and interviewing skills with the ability to effectively assess candidates and communicate recommendations to hiring managers


• Experience partnering directly with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process


• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate candidate and hiring information


• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); Lever experience is a plus


• Comfortable learning and utilizing recruiting technology, job boards, and other sourcing tools


• Professional, approachable, and service-oriented communication style


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive candidate and employee information


• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a recruiting and People team


• Experience recruiting within a multi-office or geographically dispersed organization is preferred
