What You’ll Do Demonstrate basic intraoperative scrub responsibilities. Prepare surgical team and assist in basic draping. Position OR equipment & supplies. Prepare & operate room equipment. Create sterile area using aseptic technique. Prepare supplies, recognize and correct when sterility is compromised. Demonstrate proper handling of surgical specimens. Perform counts per policy and procedures. Follow National Patient Safety Goal guidelines. Demonstrate basic case preparation - select equipment & supplies by use of preference cards. Locate basic equipment & supplies. Identify & demonstrate methods of surgical reprocessing of instrumentation & supplies. Prepare self for the scrub role and prepare surgical instrument supplies for surgery. Preferred: Associates Degree. Specify Degree(s): Surgical Technology. Less than one year of previous job-related experience. Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist. Compensation Pay Range: $24.44 - $39.11 per hour.
