Seasonal Groundskeeper

The Seasonal Groundskeeper's responsibilities include performing a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks to support the upkeep and appearance of the grounds. This includes weeding (both spraying and pulling), maintaining flower beds, repairing mulch beds, picking up trash, and assisting with general landscaping clean-up. The position also requires occasional moving of furniture and other manual labor tasks. The laborer will work under supervision to complete daily assignments efficiently and safely, ensuring the property remains clean, organized, and visually appealing throughout the season. This part-time, seasonal position will entail up to 28-hours per week Monday through Thursday, typically beginning on/around May 1 through August 15; dates are flexible, depending the on the candidate's availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform weed control using both manual pulling and spraying methods.
• Maintain and care for flower beds, including planting, watering, and general upkeep.
• Conduct mulch bed repair to maintain neat and well-defined landscaped areas.
• Pick up and properly dispose of trash and debris throughout the property.
• Assist with general landscaping clean-up, including removal of dead plants, raking, and tidying up grounds.
• Help with moving furniture and other light manual tasks as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
• Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or general labor is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care tools and safety practices is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequently performing physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
