Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a beachfront acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California. This role involves providing high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and working in an operating room suite during surgical procedures. The nurse will float to postpartum when needed and support high patient volumes, with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and maternal-newborn care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California state RN license, minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, certifications including ACLS, Advanced Womens Health & Obstetric Nursing Certification (AWHONN Advanced), BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, perform newborn and maternal couplet care, and work in OR during C-section.
• Float: Float to postpartum as needed.
• Additional Information: Role involves working in a busy unit with approximately 200 deliveries per month, supporting high-risk pregnancies, and working with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The position requires working in sterile surgical environments and supporting various obstetric procedures.
